Yes, the conflict continues up to today. It saddens me to know that even children have been sucked into this conflict. A common scenario is that the parents of young children are killed in the civil war. The children become orphans and adults 'prey' on them and encourage them to 'take revenge' for their dead parents and give them rifles to join in the fighting. Children, as young as 11.. holding real rifles, loaded with bullets. This is not the way children should live out thier childhood...
